September 11, 2005 walking in darkness

So teeming with life during the day, teenagers loitering, saggy people flashing skin oblivious to any kind of self-consciousness, kids clamoring for the ice cream truck, the boardwalk in lavallette, new jersey looks entirely different at midnight.
