here's a really brilliant commentary on what that silly kid from mit did at logan the other day. it's no stretch to say that reading it, i substituted 'rpi' for 'mit' seamlessly and had it mean the same thing. i particularly like the idea of some kind of formalized training for nerds not to expect the world to make any kind of rational sense. ordinarily one would get that from dating people, but not everybody at a tech school gets to do that.
last year i brought a a cardboard box on a plane. protruding out of it was a sheetmetal frame with a pretty powerful dc stepper motor, a few gears, some weird looking polyjet parts, and a circuit board with a shitload of wires coming off of it. but it was in a box, so i guess it was okay. on wednesday, i'll have something else interesting with me. with pointy bits. hell, this thing's designed to mix liquids, even. i'd better put it in a box, too.
