i'm not the dirtiest person in the world, i don't think. i mean, my own room is a mess, but i tend not to destroy common areas too badly. that said, there are times when it occurs to me that, you know, i'm just not a clean, organized person, and never will be. my clothes are, by default, stored in piles, i tend to throw boxes around, and not away. anything that doesn't contain food doesn't necessarily get thrown out. my 'important' papers get thrown in a special box, and that's it. i don't match my socks. i only clean my car when the back seat has to accept passengers. my desk at work is pretty awesome, too. on the other hand, it could always be worse. i could, for instance, be a congressman.
it's really interesting that they allowed that article to be written about them. i mean, for me, it's totally endearing. if it ever got to the point where i had to vote for one of them, i totally would. i can identify, first of all, with the lifestyle, and also with the desire to streamline one's life, live close to work, and not attend to mundane details. but moreover, it humanizes these guys, who make lots of money, some of it probably legitimate, and still choose to live in a way that is focused on doing their work first, with the limited amount of time they have to do it. of course, it's also possible that people 20 years older than i will read this and make plans to vote them out.
