an episode you can't miss

i still watch e.r., although i'm not sure why. i'm torn between wanting to look to see if any of the medical gadgets look familiar and averting my eyes to avoid the blood and guts about which i'm quite squeamish still. more amusing, though, is nbc's seemingly endless supply of hyperbole about upcoming episodes. it's not just 'touching', it's 'unforgettable'. it's not just 'very special', it's 'unprecedented'. sweeps month, thanksgiving, xmas, and sometimes in between, the previews are breathless with anticipation. and then for the inevitable season finales, there's a trend of trying to outdo themselves. viruses, floods, plagues, helicopter crashes, fires, car crashes, anything for a frenetic mass-casualty drill. in fact, there's only one thing they can do. nay, they must do it.

they must crash another hospital into the hospital.

it is the only solution. thank you, that is all.
