i am wearing my socks inside out today
intentionally
because i think they look better that way

i find it fascinating how republican politicians
are like dolls with a pull string
connected to a voicebox
with an extremely limited repertoire

take for example this week's continued
insistence upon tax cuts
for wealthy people no less

i can't help but feel like i've heard this before

sure it's easy to understand the most basic idea
give people who have no money to spend
money to spend
and maybe they'll spend it

or maybe they won't
maybe like me
they'll take that money and kill off a credit card
or let ing hold it for a while

that only helps bankers

and frankly i think we've talked enough about them

but what if you could force everybody to take that money and
spend it on something nice

better still what if you could get everybody to pool their money
and spend it on something really nice
something big
something that would take a lot of people a long time to make

like a viable intercity rail system

that would be great
so everybody when we get our big tax cut checks
let's all meet on the corner
and figure out how much we can buy

bring your friends

it'll be fucking sweet
