it's an interesting couple of weeks
work goes from quiet to insane back to quiet

yet another all-consuming project finally died
a death that does not involve it ever shipping

one soccer league ends the next begins

nothing going on on the weekends
but that's the only time

this weekend i'm going to istanbul
if you need to ask why then clearly you're new to this page
and should read back a ways

i'm totally stoked for it too
a hotel a few blocks from the bosporus
a chance to hopefully catch a fenerbahce match on saturday
six thousand miles in the air
ten to twelve hours

after that comes a new wrinkle
i'm ditching my flight from jfk to boston
and hopping a plane to vegas for work
i arrive in las vegas at 12 midnight pst
at that point i will be no fewer than ten hours jet-lagged
if only i gambled
then i could find something to do with myself
when i can't sleep
i'm having someone bring me my bag
so i don't have to haul shirts and ties clear across the world
for no reason

damn i love stupid shit like this
only trouble is
it's kinda getting in the way of some other interesting stuff
