slacking, continued

paying the price today for frittering
the weekend away
not doing work

but that's okay
like every other year
the pmc was a total blast

i was faster than ever this year
despite training insufficiently
rode harder and stronger on flat terrain
and still pass everyone on the the climbs

met all kinds of interesting people
some of whom i am kicking myself for not talking to
more

although i could not be convinced to join the folks
mooning the party boat as we passed it yesterday

got to ride over the bourne bridge

hit 45mph going downhill

spent early sunday morning
effortlessly
gliding across the
roads of sandwich and barnstable
silent through the fog

got to attack the hills standing up
cheer on sagging riders
and wave and bid good morning to
thousands of supporters
