the end of the tour

it’s always so tempting to look at the new year as an ending of things and beginning of others, but i’m going to resist that here, choosing instead to believe that a year is nothing more than an arbitrary division of time. there’s no mistaking that 2007 was a tough year for me, but then again, so was a lot of 2006. and honestly, i prefer to think that maybe things have already begun to look up, as opposed to waiting until ten hours from now.

resolutions for 2008:

  • use all my days off

  • use my personal days. sure, i never call in sick, and sure, using those as vacation days is frowned upon, but i sure as hell need some mental health days every now and then.

  • finish the pmc faster. again.

  • climb a big hill on my bike.

  • learn to kick the damn soccer ball straight.

  • clean my room and keep it that way

  • and much more
