lack of surprise
well, i'm sure steve jobs was slightly disappointed that most of the details of apple's music service were leaked ahead of time. but now that it's out, i have to say DAMN YOU APPLE! stop making me spend my money!
no, really. the real lack of surprise is that this thing immediately wipes the floor with pretty much every other service i've seen and read about. about the only artist i couldn't find on there in an hour's worth of playing with it was the foo fighters. in that time, for < $17.00 i got a U2 album and a New Order album. did i add that they have a shitload of Depeche Mode, New Order, NIN, all kinds of good stuff. all at a price comparable to Newbury Comics' used-cd bin. it seems like they must either have a lot more than the 200k songs they claim, or they just have really good taste.
after that lapse in judgement, now i have to re-steel myself to not buy an iPod.
Bastards! #$%@%^!

don't worry, dear... if anyone sues you, i'll come to your rescue... ;)
oops... that comment was meant for the outPost message... you posted another message while i was reading... :)
you know you want an ipod...
it's just a click away...
you know you'll cave eventually, so you might as well do it now...
why don't you go to your local compusa and peruse? what's the worst that'll happen? *whistles*
Yeah, so i caved and bought an iPod.
i look at it this way: i was tempted to buy a Cinema Display, and this will probably discourage me from doing so in the near term.
More Kool-aid, please.
i see you are in the justification phase :-)
